To date, Ogiermann has mainly made a public appearance with his interdisciplinary compositional works, which are often created in collaboration with colleagues from the fields of music, literature and art. The artist book TONKI presents a different side of Ogiermann for the first time. His TONKI booklets are philosophical-drawing experiments, perceptions of everyday life, reflections on the past, present and future, planned random works, unplanned serial works - all this and much more.
A new experimental artist's book, published only in a small edition, has developed from a targeted selection from the available booklets, from the questioning of original and copy.
TONKI combines three booklets in a slipcase. The two booklets are a new compilation of various booklets by Ogiermann. For the third booklet, an existing TONKI booklet was reproduced in its entirety from the first to the last page. Each slipcase is accompanied by one of five fine art prints.
All five fine art prints are included in the special edition.
For the publication, Ogiermann and nnbuch are also cooperating with Kulturnetz e.V. Bremen, in whose RAUM404 an exhibition of the TONKI booklets with a simultaneous live copying campaign is planned for June 2024.
From 1 to 3 March 2024, the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus in Bremen will be hosting the BRRRZK! Festival 2024 there will be an opportunity to view TONKI. The first presentation of the artist's book took place at the ECLAT Festival in Stuttgart at the beginning of February 2024.
